A USA Today Editorial article has come out saying the FAA and the airlines may have been complacent because no one has been killed for a long time! Some Congressmen are weighing in about safetry and have demanded the FAA explain why Allegient Air has had so many incidents! (100 life threatening incidents in 22 months) Yet the CEO for Alleigient Air claims he is proud of their safety record? All very confusing......o_O

...if it wasn't for some luck and good flight crew actions, there would have been some serious bent tin! I'm sure ValueJet thought they had a good safety record too. Maybe congress could cut the "regulator's" buget since there was a good safety record? Can't have it both ways! Cops still sit on the side of the road, regardless of how many people they stop!

"Drsii the Swamp" and make the "regulator" do their job!!

That's a better return then most beurocratic agencies. Since they don't write many enforcements, they should have more time to do inspections! I wonder how many inspections are done by "rubber stamping" the paperwork? Most designees have some sort of economic reason to approve products. That's not to say that the "regulator" hasn't "pocketed" money for doing things "on the side"!

Now, if you took the time to write an enforcement and the "higher ups" sent it back for a "compliance action", wouldn't you be a little frustrated? Especially, if you were charged with oversight on an operoper and holding them to the "highest" level kf safety!! Just watch the "higher-ups" circle the wagons when the bent tin happens with fatalities!

...I hear that Johnny boy made the "regulator" look stupid on the show. Hopefully, the congress can help them with that department? The reauthorization should have a clause in it about not being complacent! Or better yet, just do your &@¥π job!!

    "Drain the Swamp"!!
