Sure does appear to be at least negligent homicide. This is a prime example of why the revolving door needs to be locked!!

All the regulator's top management lied to congress and to the public. The world now sees the regulator as they truly are. A corrupt toothless tiger!! Unfortunately, people in congress are corrupt too!!

That always amazed me about the attitude of Congress. These people fly on the airlines and yet they have no idea how the FAA is incapable of doing it’s job with this management.

As a field Operations Inspector I was told often to not report accidents and safety failures!

They did not care. FAA Washington management only want the numbers to look good!

It's sad that 4 months ago the "experts" on congress (just with a GA background) slammed the third world countries for being inferior flight crews. I've written that congressman several times trying to find out how incompetent he really is or who's pockets he has his hand in for his "expert" statements.

The top levels of the regulator are all revolving door lobbyist posing as safety regulators. As long as they don't get caught and have wiggle room to divert blame to someone else, they will line their pockets with taxpayers money so they can get their let projects through.

Unfortunately, the swamp won't be drained anytime soon. The new Administrator is just another special interest person that will do everything to help out his buddies without ensuring safety for the flying public. Mark my words, this guy is another charlatan.

Too bad about the new Administrator. However if we have another big one or two on his watch, I think it will hit the fan. Especially if one of those crashes is in the states!

The FAA management is caught rubber stamping the Boeing certification data. This is standard operating procedure for management. In this case 346 people died in two separate crashes. FAA can not sweep this under the rug.

I am sure those managers that approved this either retired or were transferred or maybe even some of them resigned.

This time FAA inept management and failure killed many people!

I only wonder what if?.......these two crashes killed 346 Americans.

As it is 8 Americans were killed and the accidents were on foreign soil.

    What if?

It’s funny Russ. I read in the article that the FAA was stunned what Boeing did without telling them.

They were not stunned, those managers are inept, unqualified and have no idea what they are doing.............

I have seen really good FAA personnel drummed out of the agency because these managers do not what anyone they can not control.

The FAA is a joke full of managers that need to be fired and even charged with with corruption.....

It is not going to change unless the FAA is literally shut down.

It happened to me personally when I pushed back on management in my FSDO office when they wanted me to downgrade accidents!

All they cared about was to look good for congress!

An in flight failure of an engine that results in disintegration could pose a risk to the cables that control the aircrafts rudder you know that's no big deal so it's to late to do anything about it so we'll just keep our fingers crossed and hope it never happens. This statement alone shows the culture this aircraft was built around. There should be a Criminal Investigation into and I'll use the right word a Conspiracy to keep information that would stop this aircraft from being certified on the part of Boeing and the FAA. There are 346 dead bodies and grieving families that deserve it.

There ARE over100,000 sealed indictments just waiting to be opened After Mueller bumbled his way thru that disastrous hearing, paving the way for Declas, OIG report, and much more juicy things about to occur. Could be, they are part of them.
