    1. Now this is amazing. An idiot Congressmen with no aviation experience believes cargo only needs one pilot!

Cargo crews already receive less rest time then passenger carrying aircraft!

I suppose why not fly single engine. All the aircraft would need is an engine capable of 150,000 pounds of thrust.

So if the plane goes down there will be just one pilot lost and a bunch of boxes. Better yet why not use old pilots past their prime. They don't need much sleep and if they die......so what!

Yep that Congressmen is an Alpha Hotel with sh!t for brains.....

I have heard it all now;)

As I said before a B757 or B767 is not a Cessna 150. What idiot would think just because the're flying boxes that one pilot would be just fine in an emergency situation not to mention nodding off on a long haul flight. So the pilot is expendable along with the boxes, just god forbid the thing doesn't go down in a populated area. They crossed the line in trying to increase the bottom line. This idiot Congressman has no aviation experience but was probably was the guy who advised McDonald's to hide the Sugar, Sweet and Low and Creamers to increase the bottom line. Alpha Hotel indeed.

I'm sure President Trump won't sign that bill. 'Demolishunists'(cross between a Democrat and a Communist) are just up to their destructive ways and to blame Trump for signing the bill and Blaming Trump if he should sign and one goes down.

The Risk management boys will weigh in here and decide based on the odds. So once in a while a pilot becomes incapacitated at the controls. Sure in an emergency he could be overwhelmed. So if a big plane crashes all we will lose is one pilot and a bunch of boxes. Even it people on the ground get killed the cost savings will be millions in labor!

I hate those "Risk Management" bean counters. Went to one meeting where they told us we really have to look at the big picture, not to sweat the small stuff and to really think about "What is our exposure here?" Complete Bravo Sierra.

...just think of all the extra flights they could do?? Many even give the FOs an upgrade too??

It would be kinda weird watching the gear handle or flaps/slats moving with no one sitting next to you!! I'm sure that the "regulator" is just as nervous about this proposal too. They would have to work for a change!!

I wonder what Trump's 757 pilot John Dunkin thinks of this debacle. This ridiculous concept reeks of palm greasing.

Maybe the "biggly one" needs to name the "regulator's" top dog to find out how to nip this in the butt.
