Why? because the FAA is not doing oversite on foreign MRO repair stations. Imagine over 700 of these stations work on US aircraft and there is no government oversite!

We can thank former FAA Administrator Huerta for shutting down all FAA International Field Offices, blaming sequestration for the decision.

Does anyone see a problem here!!!!

I'd like to think that the FAA will do something, but under Obama the FAA had ceased being a safety organization. Actually it goes back a few Presidents that were inept as to the efficiency of the FAA.

President Trump is draining the swamp and the FAA is a small part of it. I think Secretary Chao will do something to shake up the FAA soon!

FAA has been playing with fire.......so far they have been lucky, but luck has a way of running out.

... unfortunately, nothing will get done until the big one happens. This lack of oversight has been going on for at least two decades. Even when there was inspectors station overseas, the oversight was lacking. I think "plain Jayne" and her lack of aviation experience started the decline in inspections overseas.

You could drill down to the Safety Standards group for the decision to close the overseas offices. Too busy "empire building" here at home so they can get their high three for retirement!!

"Drain the Swamp" and fire them all the way down to Division level!!!

Mrs. Chau and her husband are career politicians. I'm not betting on her for the rescue.

...the "revolving door" is alive and well. Not her first time around the block at DOT. We'll see in September if they make a "big change" or continue "kicking the can" down the road. I'm betting on "kicking the can" unless they can separate ATC out.

The "regulator'' keeps the "revolving door" unlocked to keep the "good ''ol boys and girls club" going. Safety Standards just made another move to get the minions their high three for retirement. The same ones thst are responsible for my injuries and disabilities!!

"Drain the Swamp" and fire everyone down to the Division level!!

FAA has been running on luck for quite sometime. Inspections in the field have been greatly reduced. Inspectors are no longer current or proficient to give flight tests. Overseas FAA offices have been shut down!

So one has to ask, just what is it that the FAA is doing?

The luck will run out and then it will hit the fan as the Trump Administration finally gets to clean out the FAA.

What will exactly happen is anyone's guess!
