    Lufthansa Airlines Boeing 747-8, D-AI Departing from Detroit metro, DTW runway 22L 4-16-19 as flt 9871 repositioning back to FRA. This Aircraft diverted in 4/13 due to weather in ORD and then broke and was waiting on a computer from FRA

    There is just something extra special about watching a 747. I don’t know exactly how to phrase it, but it has a grace and beauty that no other aircraft has.

    Yeah, and Virgin Atlantic just announced that all their 747-400s would be taken out of service by 2021. Enjoy well ya still can!

    Yes, I sure will. British Airways is going to retire their 747-400s in the next couple years too. I’m sure glad that there are a few 747-8s that are fairly new and that we can watch for a few more years.
