    ... greedy SOBs!!!

Now, if it wasn't for the DOT IG and the FBI, would they ever have been caught?? They had an insider protecting the ride! All for a 20,000 dollar airplane.

All it takes is a few "bad apples" to ruin the rest of the bunch!! The only reason they did it was to make money and the chances of being caught was slim. They should look good in prison clothes!!!

    Hmm...
I suspect that one FAA inspector caught the other inspector's bad paperwork and saw the chance for a promotion by turning him in.
Then the FBI was called in. That's what happens when the FSDO manager isn't given a cut.

... it's sad that more of this isn't rooted out!! The IG always has recommended fixes to lapses in safety. The "regulator" usually pushed back and a lot of things don't get changed. Hopefully, Ma'am Secretary directs the "change" to the way of doing business. Eight years of the "regulator" going "rogue" has damaged their credibility. It's time to get the "regulator" back to doing their "core" mission of safety!
