From a friend doing NGO work in Africa-
"Only in Africa. On a recent trip we stopped in a small destination to clear Customs. The fuel truck parked in front of the wing broke down. Couldn't push it because something was frozen up. Not to be deterred, about 10 of us guys jumped out and pushed the aircraft back so the Captain could maneuver around the truck, and we were on our way! Probably not standard operating procedure in the US!!"

Sure isn't SOP in the US. The union would have to use that many guys to fix the truck, possibly charging up to 10 paid hrs per guy in the process, in order to move the truck instead.;) Is that a Fokker or a BAC 111?

Maybe F-100, but my friend operates F-27, An-24, and HS748. I have a standing invitation if I should get overly bored.
