...maybe the regulator senior managment needs to participate in the evacuation demonstration?? The weight and BMI should replicate a realistic pax load!!

It would be nice to see them on the vinyl seats getting the Vaseline treatment for a change!!

I did an evac at the academy and we were all pilots and it still took time to get out. Of course the smoke was not toxic and we all knew the route to evacuate.

It is tough getting pax out alive in a fire, especially when they have the mind set to get their carry on stuff!!!

...and the smug letter from the "regulator''! Just wait until people burn up in the next crash when it takes more than 90 seconds, they'll have hundreds of excuses!!

Yes snug and a GFY letter that there is no problem when there is a problem when an oversize person gets stuck and jams up the evac and people die. Then here will be the evidence that the regulator has ignored the problem.

I ask the instructor during our evac class in OKC about the spacing between the seats by the emergency exit. I wanted to know how they determine the seat distance. His answere was simple. They use a distance where an exceptable number of people will clog up the exit.....

;).......very typical letter. They are mad that someone dared to doubt them.

....maybe the regulator should ask how long it took me to get out of the helicopter they crashed? It sure was a long time!! I wonder how long I was knocked senseless after striking my head on the rotor brake breaking the headset in two??

If they want to talk truthfully about evacuating an aircraft, maybe they should ask those of us who have survived a crash or two!! Managment needs to walk the walk!!
