It just learned that all FSDO inspectors will no longer being doing any flight testing. There is no current inspector in my FSDO here in NY. It would appear the FAA is backing out of any testing and handing that task off to Designated Flight Examiners DME.

Good for them, but what is the FAA going to do with all those inspectors?

...I hear that those who can go back to industry have left. Those who remain are just occupying a space until they either get pink slipped or retire. Everyone is just a number. A friend of mine passed away and management didn't even the rest of us know about it. Some family, huh??

"Drain the Swamp" from the inhuman bureaucracy.

......The FAA swamp is draining, the minions are being sacrificed and those on top will finally be exposed and removed.

January will be the tale tell sign if the "Swamp" is draining. If there is a lot of retirements, then that's the sign it's going in the right direction. If not, the only other way is a "shift" in structure. I'm sure that between Ma'am Secretary and the new "great pilot" will have a "new" direction for everyone to march. Maybe, they will, "Make Aviation Great Again"?
