China with a joint agreement with Russia is now embarking on building a wide body jet in their country. I have to say I find this interesting since China's last to efforts to produce aircraft has been one delay after another. I suppose Russia will be a big contributor with their techology

... I'm sure there will be some barrowed tech from other countries thrown in just to get it off the ground too. Not to many aircraft out there that didn't have some US brain power behind it. Just wished they would have paid for it rather than stealing it!!

Why even sell the secrets? Letting China into the WTO was the start of the degradation of our Tech edge.

China's last two aircraft production attempts are moving slowly with set backs and problems. Years behind schedule China now is going into partnership with Russia with a third attempt to build even bigger aircraft.

One problem China has is quality control. They have always gotten away with production problems with everything else they manufacture, however unlike everything else they have copied and produced, aircraft fly. Make a mistake and aircraft crash. Simply, no cares. From the worker to the manager and owners of their companies, no one really cares. The Government and a select few make the money and everyone else is controlled and are unable to accomplish anything on their own.

So I say go for it China.................I doubt if any of your aircraft will ever fly anywhere but in your own country. Which is the result of being a communist country!
