Following the SQ flight to London, I had a connecting flight to Dublin. We arrived at Terminal 3 early morning, after a 13 hour flight from Singapore on SQ 322.

Thanks to interline checkin, I could get my Boarding Pass for the London-Dublin leg at Changi Airport. The check-in staff said this could be done since I was on the same ticket. That helped.
She could check our bags all the way through to Dublin from Singapore.
So, now we had to find our way physically from Terminal 3 Heathrow to Terimnal 1.

Getting from London T1 to T3 was simple enough. Just follow the signs and we got to a bus. The bus brought us from T1 to T3. At T3, we had to clear Border Control and go through security. Fortunately, at this time of the morning, the lines were very short. I reckoned it took us a total of 45 minutes from the time I got off the SQ plane at T3 to the time I reached the T1 transit area.

Once we reached Terminal 1, we went to the BA transfer counters just to double check on the flight and we were told that the flight would be delayed due to the fog.

I decided to head to the Lounge. The downside of this BA UK and Ireland Lounge was that it was very difficult to go back to the main shopping area. Once you got here, you were very near the gates. You can’t go back to the main transit area of Heathrow Terminal 1 unless you want to clear security all over again – not recommended.

From the lounge window, you could see the planes at this one particular gate very clearly.

There was just one chap tending to the plane.

Here is a picture of the lounge. It is pleasant.

Lounge Area. It was very quiet when I got there.

    Some nuts and alcohol available.

More pictures of the seating area.

Sorry, picture is a bit blur. I must have rushed this picture.

Notice, the plane that was parked earlier at this gate, has left.

Drinks in the chiller, self-service. I noticed that they had Tiger Beer, from Singapore! I didn't get a Tiger though. It was too early in the morning for that.

    More drinks, including colas.

The coffee machine. They had a couple of these in the lounge. I had a couple of cappuccinos that morning.

    Some nuts and dried food.

Cereals. There was also milk and skimmed milk. This was rather popular. I guess this is the common breakfast in Europe. In Asia, we tend to take hot food.

Some fruits. I didn't see anybody take any.

Some pastries. These did not look too appetizing, but they were popular nonetheless. I took one and it was really sweet.

Sofas. Lounge was uncrowded, so plenty of space for all.

Coffee machine. I was getting a cappucino.

This is what I had for my breakfast. Actually, it was lunch-time for me, going by my body clock.

Short video of the pictures which I put together earlier. (Almost forgot I had this)

Another Kingly shot! Not sure what other lounge users thought of this strange Asian guy taking photos of 3 lego men on cans by the window. But, who the heck cares. As long as the kids are happy.
