!35 is for the young. Flying charter and being available 7/24/365 gets old fast. Back to back flights with the supposed 10 hours rest will wear out the best of us! I say try it, do it!...but the airlines are scheduled and those pilots get a monthly schedule and can plan their life around it and also make pretty good money. A Coporate job can be great also but the boss comes first and when he wants to go......you go! The on demand charter is the roughest.....wearing out crews especially when they get pop-ups and the phone rings at 2 in the morning!.....it's a tough job no matter how one looks at it ......So the airlines are stealing Corporate and 135 crews at an alarming rate.

....well, i'm sure things will change when the UAS takes over aviation. If you get a chance, read HR 4 to see where the House wants to go with aviation! Everyone, start brushing up on your computer skills!

I subscribe on Youtube to 'steveo1kinevo', 'Premier1Driver', and 'Corporate Pilot Life'. These guys are all from a different spectrum of their calling and they wouldn't trade any of it to become a 'Glorifed Bus Driver'. Great article in FLYING mag's April issue by Sam Weigel, 'Is Airline Flying For Me?'

I'm sure Amazon can have those to you in 30 minutes or less if the "regulator" would just get out of the way! Just hope you don't have a peanut allergy!

All three of those Youtube channels I mentioned, each and every one of them said they'd NEVER trade what they're doing for an airline job.

...the romance has lost it to the bottom line! When the board can take your "retirement" by declaring "bankruptcy" and give you 40 cent on the dollar or merge with another company giving up 10 slots to 1 on seniority. No, sir! I'm not inclined to play airline "Russian roulette" with my "nest egg"!

Maybe the "regulator" can use this as training material?

Steveo started at an airline, working for me. I fixed him good. :D
He's got a couple of really good gigs, but it's the exception, not the rule.
Most of my corporate buds are looking for new jobs about every 5 years.
Corporate pilots in the US don't make near as much as mainline airline pilots.
I'm home more nights than many of them (but I have a great gig too).
To say that the airlines are 'stealing' corporate pilots is disingenuous at best.
    The cycle remains unbroken.

He still has the Staniel Cay gig too which is in the Exumas.
The FAA asked him to remove the Caravan YouTubes to prevent any more buttholes from filing complaints on the hotline.

I saw he was having a lil trouble with the FAA. He didn't mention why though. What complaints to who's hotline? He's now You tubing his new Kodiak gig as well as the TBM.

The FAA has an 1-800 hotline and a website for the public to call in safety complaints. It's abused by trouble-makers. When they call in complaints, the FAA has to investigate even if there's little to substantiate the complaint. Apparently a jealous internet troll called in a complaint on Steveo. The FAA investigated, which takes up considerable time and resources for the FAA and the defendent, and found nothing to substantiate the complaint. However, to avoid any future waste of time and resources, the FAA asked Steveo to take down the Caravan videos (the Caravan is under Part 135). He complied voluntarily.
