Airport to be repaved after planes sank in asphalt: FlightAware

    Porous asphalt does that.
    If you sit for a few minutes in the same spot on a hot summer day on porous asphalt, the tires sink in.
    We taxied single-engine in LaGuardia because the taxi out was lengthy due to congestion.
    After we sat in the same spot for a few minutes, the plane required a lot of thrust to get moving.
    Apologies to the little Beech 1900's that taxied up our butt....

    You should see what Hi-Los do to new asphalt in the summer. :p
