Juan Brown is an airline pilot and flies the max. His account of the Ethiopian crash is right on. The crew was overwhelmed and the fact that the SIC only had 200 hours flying time contributed to the crash!!!

For all intensive purposes, same thing only with real world consequences. The US military hires top notch video gamers to fly their drones for instance.

...then, how did the 200 hour pilot correctly identify the malfunction?? I was disabled by a 10,000 hour pilot. Flight time doesn't mean a whole lot.

I don't think they know who turned the MCAS back on. The SIC could not trim the aircraft due to the high speed making it impossible to move the trim. Then someone turned the trim switches back on.......that doomed the flight!

Here is another article from other 737 drivers. It's getting really interesting. The regulator should be nervous.

Thanks for the link to the report Russ. It made interesting reading. It appears that Boeing had issued fairly clear instructions for runaway stabilizer and stabilizer trim situations. Hard to say where the crew deviated from them.

And here comes the civil liability suits. The regulator is on the hook.

...I am hopeful that the people responsible for this lack of oversight is held accountable. I'm sure there will be some patsy that will fall on the sword and the people responsible will go scott free to retire with full benefits. The only way this will get solved is to get the top 3 levels out of the agency like they did with the corrupt FBI.

    Drain the 800 indy Swamp!!

I misread or misheard the part about the SIC only having 200 hours TOTAL flying time. I was under the impression he had 200 hours in the type. These guys were overwhelmed. The F/O couldn't manually trim the aircraft because of the airspeed an position of the rudder trim. The Capt. probably trying to keep some kind of situational awareness but unfortunately his "student pilot" F/O might not have been capable of identifying and maintaining the division of duties. Who the hell reengaged the MCAS? Probably the F/O in a desperate attempt to regain control. These poor guys ran out of altitude and lacked experience. Yes Boeing and the FAA are the glaring bad guys here but the 200 hour F/O might be part of the chain of events. So sad they almost made it.

Ralphy might want to to try and ask who wants his family members killed instead? It ISN'T Boeing! Better question is, who's trying to destroy America's largest corporation in just short order especially with Boeing's successful history? Ask Obozo who cut the funding and sabotaged the FAA into being totally ineffective for his tenure and beyond in just one of his cloaked 'Destroy America' hope and change campaigns. The guy in the video who lost a family member in Pan Am 103 thinks GHWB is a hero? HA! He's fooling himself or being fooled. He thinks GHWB improved things after? He oughta ask how improved things were when TWA 800 was downed during Slick Willy's tenure too. I think I will climb back in my Nader staff car (Corvair) and go to the latest Shelby American convention instead of this propagated propaganda....
